Stephen Strait is a 2001 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Graphic Design. While at Murray State University, Steve developed his own style by working with such design elements as Graphic Design, Painting, Sculpture, 2-D and 3-D Design, and Printmaking. Steve has considered his style to be something similar to Pop-art  meets Abstract. Steve's first encounter with art was in 1977 when he decided to draw his first line drawing in which he completely strayed outside the lines. Since then, Steve has sold over 100 pieces of art in 12 states, two in Australia, and one in Italy. Steve's favorite artists include Picasso, Mondrian, Bosch, Van Eyck, Pollack, Raphael, Chuck Close, Dali, and Lichtenstein. Steve currently resides in St. Louis with his wife Toni, their cat Perske, and their dog Oz. Steve continues to create art by commission, or by whatever comes along; and plans on showing more of his art in 2009.

Website is updated as of 11/22/09. So is seems that Toni and I are moving back to the Evansville/Newburgh area. We have decided that we wanted to be close to family and friends. I found a job while on vacation and then when we came back from vacation we happened to sell our house! With things clicking so well we considered that this was our time to move back. I still will maintain my website on a regular basis since that won't change, and I still accept commissions from anyone that is interested. I will miss everyone in St. Louis, but I'm also excited about being back home and ready to see what challenges lie ahead. I will have more paintings on here soon and as always thanks again for all your support!
